The Best EFT Resources to Help Reduce Stress and Create Change

I love EFT so so much

In fact, I’ve trained with EFT International and I’m in the process of becoming fully certified.

I use EFT every day to help with stress and anxiety. I wouldn’t be where I am today without it!!

EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique is a self-soothing practice, where you tap on different parts of the face and body.

There are different meridian points that you tap on, that calm down the amygdala, reduce cortisol and clear stuck energy in the body.

The great thing about EFT is you can use it on anything, from pain, limiting beliefs, worry, anxiety, phobias and cravings.

If you’re not sure if it will work, just give it a go anyway….you can’t go wrong with this!!

A Quick Guide to Using EFT

You start by thinking of the problem, for example, I feel stressed about work. Try to be as specific as possible.

You will use this in your setup statement.

Think about where you feel it in your body. You can take notes of how this feels and use it when you are tapping around the different points (the reminder statements).

Then rate the intensity on a scale of 0 to 10. 10 being the most intense and 0 being it doesn’t bother you at all (so no point tapping on it then lol)

The setup statement: Even though I feel stressed about work, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

You say the setup statement while tapping on the side of your hand, the karate chop point. You say this 3 times before moving on to the next points.

When you tap through the other points, you will say a reminder statement. Such as, this stress from work or I feel stressed from work.

Say the reminder statement while tapping on each point below. You can add other things you feel, such as, I feel this stress in my shoulders (or wherever you felt it in your body).

You can get as creative as you like with what you say in your tapping rounds.

Tapping through all 9 points is one tapping round.

I usually do a few rounds and then rate the intensity level again. If I’m not at a zero, I just keep tapping!!

The Tapping Points are:

  1. Side of the hand or karate chop point
  2. Eyebrow Point
  3. Side of the eye
  4. Under the eye
  5. Under the nose
  6. Chin point
  7. Collarbone
  8. Under the arm, or bra strap
  9. Top of the head

EFT Books

The Tapping Solution

The very first book I read was The Tapping Solution and it’s amazing. This is a great book if you are new to tapping. It explains how it works, how to use it and some great questions to ask to find out what to tap on.

It also has sections on things like relationships, money and healing your body.

I love the tapping tree they use to identify your symptoms, emotions, events and limiting beliefs to tap on.

The Tapping Solution for Weight Loss and Body Confidence

Another great book from the tapping solution, this book focuses on accepting our bodies and using tapping to help us have more confidence.

I’m listening to this on Audible at the moment and it’s really helping me accept my body and reduce my stress around my diet.

The EFT Manual

The EFT Manual is another great book for beginners. I first read this book when I started studying EFT.

It includes success stories, the science behind EFT and different techniques you can use.
