Today I want to share some amazing resources for blogging. When I started blogging it was a bit of a minefield knowing what to do and how to get traffic to my site. Over the years, I’ve tried many different things and ways to grow my blog.
So, I want to share with you what’s helped me, as I wish someone had done with me in the beginning.
Blogging may seem easy, but it takes consistency (something I’ve struggled with in the past) and a lot of work. I do a lot of mindset work too, but here are some amazing practical things that have helped me along the way.
Amazing Resources for Blogging
Blogging Host – Hostinger
I’ve been with Hostinger for a few years now. I have tried other hosting sites, but this one has been the best I’ve had. Therefore, I will be starting with them from now on.
Their prices are great, and they have really good customer service.
If I’ve ever had a problem in the past (which is very rare) they have answered my questions very quickly.
WordPress Theme – Pro Theme by Themeco
I love Themeco, I started out with their X theme (because I didn’t even realise I had Pro) and now I’ve moved over to Pro. This theme is quite advanced, so you do need to learn a bit about it to use it.
However, they have so much information, a great forum if you get stuck and a Youtube channel with tutorials.
You can do so much with this theme. I’m still learning Pro because I only just updated it.
It’s very advanced and I think it’s really user friendly. It uses Cornerstone, which is so simple. They also have loads of design assets in their design cloud.
I’m still updating my site and can’t wait until it’s finished. I know there are so many design elements I’ve not even tried yet!!

Email – Convertkit
I used to use Mailchimp but found it quite restrictive. So I moved over to Convertkit and I’m so happy I did.
Not only can you set up great automations but you can sell digital products there. And they only take 3.5% + 0.30p processing fee per transaction. That’s lower than a lot of sites I’ve tried.
I find Converkit so easy to use and I’m always learning new things to do on there site.
They also have free courses to help you with setting up and getting better conversions on your emails, which are so informative.

Getting Traffic – Ready set Blog for traffic
I’ve learnt so much from this course, if you haven’t heard of Elna, she runs Twins Mommy blog. Her blog is amazing, it’s filled with so much information to get you started with blogging.
I’m still working through the course because there is so much info in it. And she adds to it all the time. There is a lot of info about SEO, which I’m learning at the moment.
I used to just write blog posts, without thinking of SEO! Now I’ve started actually looking at keywords and how to structure my posts, my traffic is going up.
She also has lessons about Pinterest too!!
If you are looking to get more traffic to your site, this is the course for you!!

Tailwind is a great tool to help you with not just Pinterest but also other social media.
You can schedule your pins here and the best thing about Tailwind is the communities. You can join 5 communities for free and you get to share you pins with other creators.
This is a bit like Pinterests groups, however, groups aren’t generating as much traffic as they used to. That’s why Tailwind communities are so great, as you can still get a lot of reshares on there.
You can now design your pins in Tailwind, it has a pin generator that creates loads of different designs for you to pick from. Which is an amazing alternative to creating them in Canva.
