Boosting your self-worth is vital to living a happier life.
Self-worth is an important aspect of our lives that can have a major impact on our happiness and well-being. It’s the foundation of our beliefs about ourselves and our value as a person. When our self-worth is low, we may feel unworthy, undeserving, and unimportant. This can lead to a negative spiral of negative thoughts and behaviours, making it harder for us to achieve our goals and find happiness.
On the other hand, having a healthy sense of self-worth can help us feel confident, capable, and worthy of love and respect. It can also help us make positive choices and take care of ourselves, both physically and emotionally.
So, how can we boost our self-worth? Here are some tips to get you started.

Boosting your Self-Worth With These 9 Tips
Self-Care
Practice self-care: Taking care of yourself is an important way to show yourself love and respect. This can include things like getting enough sleep, eating healthy, exercising, and taking breaks when you need them.
Try to include self-care that brings you joy, things that light you up too. Write a list of things that make you feel amazing and try to do a few of these things each week!
Set Strong Boundaries
Set boundaries: Setting boundaries is a way of showing yourself and others what you will and will not tolerate. This can help you feel more in control of your life and help others to respect you.
Learn to say NO
Learn to say “no”: It’s easy to feel like we have to say “yes” to everything, but this can lead to feelings of overwhelm and resentment. Learning to say “no” when you need to is a way of taking control of your time and energy and can help boost your self-worth.
Accept Compliments
Accept compliments: It’s natural to feel awkward when someone gives us a compliment, but it’s important to remember that they are giving it to us because they see something positive in us. Try to accept compliments graciously and let them boost your self-worth.
Gratitude
Practice gratitude: Focusing on the things we are grateful for can help us see the good in ourselves and in our lives. Make a habit of writing down a few things you are grateful for each day and watch your self-worth grow.
Get Support
Seek out supportive relationships: Surrounding yourself with supportive and loving people can do wonders for your self-worth. Seek out relationships with people who respect and value you for who you are.
Challenge Negative Thoughts
Challenge negative thoughts: It’s easy to get caught up in negative self-talk, but it’s important to challenge these thoughts and replace them with more positive ones. Try to catch yourself when you have negative thoughts and replace them with something more realistic and positive.
Try New Things
Take risks and try new things: Stepping outside of your comfort zone and trying new things can help boost your self-worth by showing you that you are capable of more than you think.
Script Your Higher Self
Think about what person you want to be, what does you higher self look like? Think of all the qualities your higher self has, how do people treat her and what does her life look like. Write as much detail as you can about who you would be if you was the highest version of yourself.
Read that everyday and imagine being this version.
The more you envision this, the more you will step into that version. Keep showing up as this higher version, what thoughts would you have and how would you feel. Then shift your thoughts every day to become aligned with the version you want to be!
Boosting your self-worth takes time and effort, but it’s worth it. By focusing on self-care, setting boundaries, learning to say “no,” accepting compliments, practising gratitude, seeking out supportive relationships, and challenging negative thoughts, you can start to build a healthy sense of self-worth and find greater happiness and fulfilment in life.
